92 f150 starts hard
I've had my '92 for 11 years now...4.9 6 cyl...144,000 miles...and I wouldn't trade for anything out there. About 2 weeks ago, suddenly, I noticed it took a few extra revolutions for it to start when it was warm. I took it the local mechanic who ran the diagnostic and found no codes coming up. He said he couldn't make it act up. Of course the first time I tried it, it took about 8-10 revs for it to kick off. Any ideas out there about what could be causing this. I have had the starter rebuilt recently, but that was after the problem showed up. I had a tuneup about 8 months ago...plugs, cap, wires, etc.

my gut reaction is age. there would not be any codes unless the check engine light was on. does it bog down at all? does it still crank strong? you could check your plugs make sure they are not fouled and that they are still gapped properly but i really dont know of anything else that will fix that you could also check compression and compare them to spec. just wondering what kind of spark plugs do you have in your truck? and plz dont say champion.....
