My 2007 F-350 6.0 runs good then all of the sudden it starts running rough and within 3-10 seconds it downshifts and the engine will shut off. The guages and radio stay working I just loose power I have replaced the cam sensor, the ICP sensor, and the egr valve. Can anyone tell me what the problem is with this truck I have 163000 miles on it. I can be going at 80 mph or 30 mph it really doesn't have a speed that it cuts out at.

first off you have already overspent throwing parts at it. basicly for the price of the icp sensor you could have gone to the dealer and had it diaged.

however that aside.. got any codes, maybe a p0603?

 

it could be lots of stuff get some gauges and start watching stuff

intermittened problems suck hope you atleast pickup a code like cheezit suggested

 

No codes engine light never come on I did take it to the dealer and they charged me 100 to tell me it could be alot of reasons I already knew that i wanted to know what it was we cleaned out the egr valve and IAT2 it seems to be good now. It only happens after the truck is run about 50 miles in the heat of the day.

 

the truck runs fine in the cool mornings I have also replaced the radiator and coolant

 

my guess is a shorted injector coil. but just a guess

 

You do know that you can have codes without the CEL coming on?

 

go to auto part store most will scan for codes for free

try autozone get a SGII so you can start watching some stuff its cheap they may have one in stock

a auto enginuty is a great troble shoot device its more spendy IIRC 550.00 with the ford bundle but does alot you can controll stuff with this one
