Hi guys,
I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Ugly. That is what all of my friends call me, even my wife. Last Thursday, my dad was kind enough to trailer his 59 Ford Panel, from Grass Valley, Ca and give it to me. He bought it 4 months before I was born, and I'll be 38 next month.
It has been out in the weather for 6 or so years. Now it is back in a garage. It runs but it has a few minor problems, to get it road worthy. It needs a new paint job, really bad, but I think I'm gonna start with getting new front suspension first. This is all new to me, but I'm looking forward to learning about these old trucks and meeting new people. I only have one friend who is into classic cars and he bought his already finished . I have always been a huge fan of the classics, since I was a young kid, but I never thought I would ever own one. Now I do!
Welcome to the chapter, neighbor. Great looking truck...what motor does it have? I hope you'll add some pics to your "garage" sometime so we'll have something to drool over
The 48-60 forum here on FTE will be a great resource for you. Most anything you can think of, somebody in there has already done it and is willing to help.
This is unacceptable. WILL NOT WORK.. I already know someone we call Ugly.
Welcome to the club!
You have some neighbors over there in long beach, check this out: Member Map
HAHA! I've been called Ugly for over 20 years. Thanks for the info and the welcome.

Thanks neighbor. It has a 390 in it. I will add pictures for sure. I just need to take some. The camera does wonders for it.
I got your message. I cant reply or send you PM yet because you dont have enough posts. Once you get 25 you will get these privileges. Along with posting pictures and a signature.
Seems like Steve likes you so sounds like you will be accepted. I'll go ahead and add you.
Hey Ugly
I've been away but let me add my welcome and props on the truck.
Let's see some pics of that beast.

And not enough time to drive 'em.
Marc
Welcome - since starting with your suspension issues I think you will find that Curtis and Christensen Auto Parts on Anaheim St will have or can get what you need. Not too long ago I had to replace king pins and bushings on a 65 F250 and they had the parts. Hope this helps some
