Question Display Sign Design

Has anybody made a sign to set up in front of your truck while you're at shows? I'm thinking of something that says:

1954 FORD F-100
289 V8 from 67 Mustang
C4 Transmission
Paint - Chili Pepper Red

Owner: John and Nancy Townsel

Etc. Etc.

If you have an example, please post a picture. I'm looking for ideas now, so I only have to make one. Thanks, Jag

There's a few guys here local who still make them up professionally but they are nothing like the old signs. I think that most of the signs today are computer generated...gone are the days of hand-lettering and gold leaf. Here's one from a truck in our club, not very fancy but it has a lot of info displayed...

I saw one recently for a F1 that was made of a F1 tailgate. Neat.

A tinted, colored plexi-glass, in a color similar to your truck, makes a nice sign board you can hand letter or add graphics or vinyl lettering to.

The tailgate sounds noval, but too big for me. I like the idea of the plexi-glass. I am thinking of bending it into an L shape so that I can park the front tire on it to prevent it falling over in the wind or by some yahoo running into it. Jag

some of the nices are plexiglass, body parts, wood, and leather. I've always wanted to do a plexiglass with LED edge lit display.

check with local company

We have a few companies here in Tucson, AZ that do graphics. We even had a navy sub emblem printed for my father in laws tbucket. The cost is very reasonable and it will have a true professional look. They can even include a picture of your truck on the board. We are even looking at having them make shirts for us.

Just a thought.
