'96 F150 the passenger seat belt light remains on, with belt fastened and a person sitting in the seat. Anyone have a solution?

Try unplugging the wiring harness at the base of the female belt on the cab floor. Assuming that yours is wired the same as my 1992 then with the harness unplugged there should be no belt light. So if the light goes off then the problem is with the female seat belt end.
