What he just said is why its better, as well as because it doesn't sit on top of the hot radiator. Here are the pictures. I thought I had a better on of it installed, but can't find it right now.

Also Motorcraft filters work great and I see no reason to use any other air filter.

A 300 tube is much more affordable, I am pretty sure you will never buy enough air filters to equal the cost of the FIPK, then again, to each his own.

(I like my recycled 300 tube)

And yeah, I always thought the K&N set up was rather pointless. I looked up what extra horse power you would get with a truck like ours and it was in the single digits.

As far as finding one, these trucks are everywhere here is Missouri, and I'm sure one will come along eventually. On the install, you say it is simple. This means a lot of things to a lot of people. I'm sure it's not rocket science, but Is it pretty much plug and play? Or am I going to spend an afternoon cussing my baby?

It only takes about a minute to change it out. For some it may take all of 5 minutes.

i see yall talking about using the I6 tube...and how hard they are to get a hold off...i have a complete 94 I6 parts truck sitting in my side lot minus the hood fenders ect which are on my 90 f1..so i should go take the ait tube of it and but it on my truck then huh?

actually just went and changed it out..looks better already less mess up top...thanks for the idea.
