Texas governors race

We've got a really dirty, mud slinging, money spending race for governor of Texas. These two guys have spent over 73 million bucks calling each other names. It would be nice to see two (or more) candidates speak to the people about solutions to the many problems we are facing rather than feeding us crap. I will have to hold my nose when I vote. Thanks for letting me vent.

It's too bad there is not an option for "none of the above." I have yet to see a commercial from either one of these clowns that tells what they stand for.

Aren't all political campaigns basically just showing off how much dirt you can dig up and how much money you have? Why bother voting just to get the lesser of 2 evils? Do you really think any of those politicians care anything about you or your needs? They care about your wallet, and I don't mean they want to save you money. Remember, without big taxes, they can't continuously vote themselves big pay increases.

Don't y'all think that the brave defenders of the Alamo are turning in their graves knowing that a Mexican might become the govenor of Texas?

There is, but you have to go to Arizona. There it is law that there must be a choice for "none of the above." And if "none of the above" wins, there is another election six weeks later and the candidates that were on the previous ballot are not permitted to run.

I think that should be law nationwide. Maybe it would clean things up a bit.

flyboy2610, Are you serious? Could we all get together and make something like that happen? I would love to see all the current politicians be taken off the ballots because the majority is tired of their B.S. That would indeed be a dream come true. That would give me hope for mankind.

I dont't think the motive for these two is money since they are both millionaires and have spent tons of their own money on the race. I believe that it is ego and a lust for power.
