Am I right about the 7.3 years?

My cousin and I were talking today and he said that the 7.3 was available in the 04 for at least part of the year. I thought it ended sometime in 03 and then switched to the 6.0. Who's right?

x2. Mid-2003 they switched over to the 6.0 for the U.S. market due to emissions. In Australia you could still get the 7.3 as late as 2007.

Thanks guys. He brought up the fact that he saw an 04 in a magazine that was a factory 7.3 in the "reader's rides" section. May have very well been an aussie truck.

Having the creature comforts and style of a 2007 with a 7.3 would be spectacular.

Most of us consider the end of the 7.3 in U.S. domestic SuperDutys occurring at the end of the first quarter of model year 2003.

I've got a 2003 CC long bed F350. Don't know what the build month was. Sure would love to know how many 7.3 F350's were made in 03. Doesn't seem like a lot or at least I don't see a lot of em.

Wouldn't all the Aussie trucks have the wrong side to drive on though? They do drive on the left side of the road down there.

What does your door post sticker say?

The date is right there.

I bought my 03 picking from 8 F350's 4, 7.3's and 4, 6.0's.They were the last 4 7.3 left to get, Sheehy Ford, Ashland Va. I picked the right one. It was Nov.02, it took about 6 month's to get rid of most 03 7.3's.

Everyone wanted that new, high-horsepower motor.

As we now know, they got a lot more than they bargained-for!

You, and three others, got a deal. At any price!

I got the last 7.3 they had on the lot... All those shiny new 6 leakers sitting there, nobody wanted that lame white 7.3... EXCEPT ME!!!

Even the sales guy was trying to push me into a 6.0, I told him no way!! Mine didn't have all the bells and whistles I wanted, but it was good enough for me.
