Looking at getting a front leveling kit for my 2007 F150 Supercab 2wd. A friend of mine got a Daystar lift for his Ram, and said it's really good. I found this on Daystars website for my truck: Daystar™ - Driven by Design

Has anyone else heard of this brand? Is there another lift kit brand that would be better? My friend said he spent about $250 on his kit.

There are lots of leveling kits on the market. Daystar is back by a respected company and is a good kit. There really is not much to a leveling kit and most end up doing it themselves. Just make sure you get an alignment afterwards as you will throw it off during the install.



Other kits are Ready Lift, Skyjackers, Hell Bent, Autospring, and Cognito just to name a few. Most companies that put out lift kits will also have a leveling kit because a lot of people do these first before moving onto a larger lift.

Look through my Garage and you can see a 3" front leveling kit with a 1" rear lift block.

 

Check out the most popular brand for these trucks. Autospring is the most popular choice hands down. Plus it is only like $80.00 for the kit.

They all accomplish the same thing, they just vary in price from $80.00 to $300.00.

With metric's there are so many variables (width, side aspect ratio, wheel diameter) and every manufacturer does something a little different.
Use that link to find something less than 35" in diameter (height) and probably less than 13" wide.
What wheels are you planning on using?

I have to agree with Quack Addict and vouch for Autospring. They are usually the cheapest and their product is great! I've been running the 1.5" leveling kit in my truck for about 2 years now and I have no issues with it! You can find them on ebay.

 

i would be using my stock ford wheels. currently on there are 235/70/r17, so it would have to be a tire that would be like 185/70/r17. not investing in new wheels, too much money.

 

Hell Bent Steel, kits are $69 shipping included, when I bought mine. Very solid product, well built, and easy to install. After you see and install them, you won't believe anyone can charge that much for spacers.

X2 on the alignment, you don't want to eat new tires.

 

I've been thinking of lifting my truck. 285/70/17 should fit nice. The Zone kit on rockymountainsuspension is only $169.95. Front and rear lift.

 

on an off note, do you think i would be able to fit 265s on stock suspension. once again, supercab 2wd. i think i could. a friend of mine was thinking he could get his 275s in and fit. we would have swapped everything for a sec to see, but he has 8 lug dodge.

 

+1 my 2.5 steel spacer has been great and is made very well.

 

As far as fitting the tires without rubbing, i am currently running the 08 stock 20s with 275/55/20 and used to have 22s with 325/35/22 on my 04 Screw 2wd, and nothing has ever rubbed (or stuck out of my fenderwells at all) and my truck is lowered 2.5 inches in the rear using shackles, stock front ride heigth. When i was running on 22s, the overall tire heigth was almost 34.5 inches and tread width was 12 inches. Measuring from the ground to the botton of the wheel well opening at its highest point ( directly above center of tire) my front measures 36 3/8ths and the rear is 37 1/2 with a tire heigth of 31 1/4. Hopefully this helps somewhat and wasnt overly confusing. As far as rims go, a cheap route would be to find some Lariat take offs. I know they can be found cheap since a lot of people (like me) have them sitting around. I picked up the stock 08 20 inch rims i have now from a local ford dealer that raises all of their trucks for about 300. Good Luck

 

I ordered the Autospring kit today off Fleabay. 86$. Its the 2.5" for my 06 F150 4x4

 

I bought a used 2007 F150 5.4l Supercab with the factory 2" leveling kit. I was able to go from the factory 255/70/15 to 315/70/15. You get a very slight rub when you max out the steering.
I am looking into maxing out the factory suspension parts with a 3.5" lift kit. They do come with the offset spacers to avoid upper control arm and spring contact. Want to have new quickstruts, shocks, upper control arms w/ball joints, & tierods at the same time. Broke the passenger front spring last week.
