90 F150 factory tow rating and unladen weight

I was curious if anyone knew what the factory weight ratings of the f150 were. I have a 90 f150 extended cab longbed. I was also wondering how much it weighs. I went to register the truck and they asked. All I could find quick was 98 specs so I told them 5020lbs. Close enough I hope. I'll have to find a set of scales. I can't imagine it is that light. My darn Explorer weighed 5200lbs with my tools in it.
Thanks guys.

Oh crap. I actually never thought of looking in owners manual.
I have the owners manual in the glove box.
Good thinking.

It'll weigh around 4,000 pounds unloaded.

Curb weight of your truck is right around 5000lbs, my ext-cab 4x4 comes in at just a hair under 5k. There is no way your Explorer weighed that much unless you had 1000lbs of tools in it.

When he says tools he means he could outfit a decent size garage out of the back of the explorer.

The empty weights and max laden weights for each axle are listed on the door sticker. As a general rule, empty weight refers to the vehicle with a full tank of gas and no passenger/driver.
