Ok so I ordered a new Lariat 4X2 with EB eng. and 20" 6 spoke machined aluminum wheels. After spending much time at the dealer, wheeling & dealing finally signed paperwork. When I get home there is a message on my answering machine telling me that Ford is having problems getting the 20" wheels from there vender and that will hold up the truck delivery for an undertermined time. Bummer. Has anyone else heard of this problem ? I am not sure what to do now, as they can't tell me whether we're talking a week - a month or what. I don't really want the stock 18" wheels that are on my current '04 Lariat and the new 18's look the same. I suppose I could go after market but that's big bucks compared to Fords 5 & change for there 20's. Any suggestions ???

 

Interesting combo. Not many people order 2wd trucks. I'd say wait for the wheels to come through. Otherwise you have the costly price of getting new wheels latter. I wonder why all the rage with 20inch wheels tho. The tires seem god awful expensive.
