79 Bronco front seat upgrade info

Looking for a modern upgrade for front seats preferably super duty buckets and console for 79 bronco Currently i have front buckets/ center console and i was hoping some members here can share what they have upgraded to and the install process. i see a lot of the crew cab members 67-72 and 73-79 are going with 04-10 super duty captain chairs and center console with very little fab work and effort. If I'm not mistaken the 78-79 bronco floor/seat pans is different than the regular, extended and crew cabs?

thank you in advance

My understanding is that the floor pans are the same between Bronco and Supercabs. I'm not sure what years floor plans are the same. My hope is to find an ok set of Bricknose 40/20/40 seats from a Supercab to swap into my '79 Bronco. I hate big center consoles and like bench seats. I think the 40/20/40 should give me all the good things about the console, a little storage and cupholders, while still allowing seating if needed. The Supercab version should be close to fitting, if it's not drop in, and allow for back seat access since it had to with the Supercab also.

cwegga; Curious if you found what you want? I am looking to switch out my full split bench (green cloth) in my 78 F-250 Supercab. Just too difficult to access the back area. It matches my overstuffed rear bench seat and in pretty good shape. Thinking about sourcing classic 78/79 bronco seats with consol. or maybe newer captains with electric controls for long trips. Interested in thoughts.

Plan to just recover to match front seat upgrade

@Greenhornet460 Maybe...I have a possible deal set up with a fellow Bronco owner over in Spokane that is probably going to get a couple OBS middle seats from someone else on our Bronco forums. He said we could work something out for one of them. I haven't been looking too hard lately. Things are expensive and I've been out of work for a while now. I don't have money for extra truck parts when I'm just trying to buy food and keep my house paid for. Anyway, if you want to meet up and chat sometime that could be cool. I do have some extra high back buckets and center console out of a Bullnose. I've got my factory seats repaired so I don't need the spares much anymore. I don't have extra brackets for them but you might be able to get some from the local wrecking yard that shall not be named on the internet so people don't take all the Dentside parts. I don't think I want to go full bench, since I'm a tall oaf and feel like I'd fold in half backwards if I ever got in a wreck without tall seats.

You can go check out my build thread for what I did in my 79 F350 SC 4x4 for seats. Love them and are super comfy. Happy to answer any questions!
