Managed to remove 15 of 16 manifold bolts without drama. The head of one did torque off, but left enough to become a stud.

Barry you would not have seen much progress. A friend stopped by yesterday after lunch with his welder and got the bed fixed. No excuse now for me not to get her finished. Met a lady at Church last night that was at Memorial Service with you all. Her maiden name was Betty Higgimbottom. Good Morning to you all. I just ran out of coverup goola (bondo). The first I bought was Kitty Hair ($13.00 for small container). Then I got the last at NAPA ($49.00 for a gal). I checked at O'Relly yesterday and they have a gal for $21.00. Question, Do you get what you pay for or are they all about the same? Harley

I am going to start turning wrenches on the old 86 this weekend. Go to get the tranny rebuilt and the ole 6.9 running again.
I have found a good steel flat bed here at the yard, but can't decide if I want to take the aluminum bed my dad and I built off or not. All it needs is a headacherack but that will have to be custom fabbed, I just can't decide.
Oh well....there is always time to figure that stuff out....
