Silver with primer small window. His name is Tom Porter, also from Whittier. It has a 5.0 EFI. He wants out of it what he's got in it.

My blue 56 small window project remains available.. altho distance is a problem.

as you saw from the pics, it is very rough, good cab roof tho, not running.

I have a current Texas title.

shame I didn't think of it before, the Austin Lone Star Roundup hotrod show was at the beginning of April, and someone might have provided trailer carriage thru AZ..I know that some were making such arrangements on the HAMB. I had someone bring me a rollup door for my shop.

Well now Im thinking of just buying a 56 cab and prutting it on my 53. How do you guys think that would work? Also how would I register it as a 53 after that?

it would be a 53 on the chassis, so that's what you would register..

Please let me rephrase that. How would I register it as a 56? Could I register it as a 56 if I purchase a parts truck with a 56 title and put the cab on my 53? My 53 is in beautiful shape but I want a 56. Sounds stupid but my dad had a 56 throughout my childhood and he passed a couple years back so now I want to restore a 56 to look like his

Depends on where you are.. I am no specialist at this, but in California it sounds like they want to verify the chassis serial number.. so that would be a problem.
In Texas also (at least when I was bringing in a truck from out of state).

you or someone after you could get caught with a mismatched title/chassis, I don't know what kind of trouble that brings..

now.. technically you shouldn't. but you could cut the vin off the 56 chassis and weld it onto the 53 chassis, thus 'converting' your chassis over, but that also is subject to the guy that looks at it, and it would be obvious at some level.

thats certainly fraud at some level.
