We got it all fixed up. I took apart the steering column and found that the Tow haul wires were chaffed on the steering shaft. Taped it up and so far so good, if it blows again we will have to replace the wiring harness. Here was something I found interesting was when I pulled the lower dash panel off and looked at the fuse box lid and I forget what number it was but one of them had yellow paint on it, checked that fuse and it was blown. So my guess is that it was a on going event with the previous owner and his solution was to put a bigger fuse in it but that still didn't work so he just high lighted it so when it happened he could find it fast.

Howdy All, I have an early F250 2004(built 12/16/2013),somewhat the same problem with my cluster/dome light not working some of the time. It started with the cluster/dome lights rapidly flickering on and off while driving. that stopped for a couple of months then now when i get in and turn ignition on, the cluster/dome light will not come on, I discovered that if I pull and reset fuse #35 the problem corrects itself but the fuse is NOT blown. i have checked the O/D wire visually with no problems.

What has me confused is the #35 fuse does not get blown.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
