i saw a homemade skidder with an I6 and 3spd out of a 54 chevy pickup, gm 10 bolt axles, hydralic tank that was used as a gas tank (knew this because it had fuel lines coming out of it), and an idiot stick that was on the left side of the seat. my old man wanted it so he could throw his rockwell axles underneath it and drop a 300 i6 and 4spd, np205 tcase, and build a smaller scale skidder because his skidder he has now is too big and clumsy to be doing work he wants to do with it.

I got these wood grain inserts from a '79 XLT Lariat for $5. The green door panels were $30.

Oh yeah, and the west cost mirrors were $15.

OK guy's, here's mine.

Riverside Pick A Part - March 6th, 2011

This was a '78 F-250 Custom Super-Cab 4x4...
I don't think this truck should be in there, it's now been stripped, but it had a clean body.

Check this out...

This was a '77 F-350 Cab & Chassis that was a U-Haul. I guess someone wanted a flatbed instead of a Van body...?

This '67 F-250 Ranger (Sittin' next to a '78 Custom) was in a very bad accident.

Look how clean this '80 F-350 Custom Super-Cab 5-speed was...

(We pulled the Holley off it)

(This truck had matching, clean, bucket seats in the front...)

wow, I need to get myself out the those cali yards, that looks like a regular treasure trove! That 70 F250 (grill and inserts say is a 70, not a 67) looks like he hit a pole and hit it HARD! I'd be surprised if the driver survived that one... I'm glad I got front disks, drums are ok on the back, but I would not trust them on the front. I'd be willing to bet that was what caused the accident.

Here's a few pics of old rigs in the yards, some of them are pretty sad to see, I especially liked this 67 F250 4x4:

I wouldn't mind owning the front bumper off this one. Heck, I wouldn't mind owning the whole truck! Sadly, it was fed to the crusher... I did get a few good parts off it though.

There was another I saw that was pretty funny, it was one of those Mercedes sprinter vans that had been torched in half! The whole back half was gone, frame, axle and everything. I guess someone need a few patch panels! I wish I had a picture of that one!

Hey Anthony, I actually pulled the side fuel tank straps from that 70's supercab. I was also thinking of taking that bed off the '60 for my buddys '57

Nope, it's a '67, with a '70 grille. Look at the interior.
See the '67 only door handles?

That was the Riverside yard. Where are you located? I am going to post some pictures of the Ontario yard, which had many more dentsides.
