Time to take my 1999 V10 F-250 superduty in for trans repair. Torque converter seal is leaking very badly at trans temps over 150F. This has been a on going problem with this truck for over 4 years and it's getting worse. With temps soon to hit the 110's here in Arizona. I have to get this fixed ASAP! Stopping for red lights, the fluid just pours out all over the exhaust and smokes and it's not a pretty sight. Just driving for about 45 minutes in 90F temps it starts leaking really bad.
Just wanted to ask about how much should this repair cost me? I know most of it is going to cost me labor with the part probably costing around 10 bucks.
Has anyone here had this problem before? Doesn't seem like anyone on this forum has had this problem. Couldn't find any information about it. Is it just happening to my truck?
