I apologize first off if this is not my best post I'm doing it from my phone. I pulled out of the fuel station I stop at every morning and get in the 4 lane road and blah nothing. She dies. I through her in nuetral and try and do a quik restart and get out of the road. She turns over no fire. I didn't check tach it was 6:15 in the morning. I see the CEL come on when I tried the restart. The only code I get is P0198. I did check the oil and it was ok on dipstick. When I get off work I'm gonna check HPOP. Any ideas mine is oil pump in the pan but that is just a guess I have clue. Help. If my signature doesn't come up let me know.
Apparently my sig doesn't come up. I have a '95 PSD bean's stage I. 230xxx miles I havev had to change several orings on the hpop recently and I still have to do the big one I found it leaks the other day. I just got the oring for it.
0198* EOT Engine oil temp sensor ckt high input No cold adv., fast low idle Open circuit, biased sensor, PCM, short to 5V
I don't believe 0198 will keep you from starting or running unless its shorted. How bout the IPR...loose connection...you were playing around in there.
I'm gonna check all connections when I get off work. I checked them 2 days ago and everything was ok. That's the day I did the cleaning under there also. But I started the truck and drove it for 2 days so this one is throwing me a bit. The bad part is I don't get to go look at it on my lunch. I'm stuck in a building til at least 3pm maybe 7pm if no one calls in sick!
Chip yes superchip for now no the CEL does not stay on. WTS lite works I can hear gpr clickin. Truck does seem to be turning over a bit fast but that could be just me. All fuses look good pulled 22. Rest seem working. Grrrr
ok I'm home getting trailer to bring truck home. Still no start. I'm doing this to bump it and to get my sig on here. No the CEL does not stay on if I did answer that earlier
Hpop could be low from cranking.
Wait for motor to be stone cold, fill hpop.
Then give it a go.
