damn, thats no fun at all. hes got a truck load of parts too. otahyoni is only a few hours from there. he doesnt have a garage or much stuff to help with a job like that. shame it didnt happen here, ive got everything hed need to do it.
How far is he from Western Massachusetts? Google is saying it's about 12 hours from Columbus, OH to my place.
Of course, it's only another 4 hours from my place up to Maine...not sure how much help I would be. Might end up being more out of the way...

about 9 hours, and your close to where hes trying to go.
That's if he's running 90 East and then taking 95 North.
In Albany, 90 dips South, I wasn't sure if he was gonna try to venture up North there in Albany and try to run state highway across VT and NH...
By the time he gets here to me though, it's only another 4 hours home to where he'd be comfortable with his own tools and shop.
He is at the Circle K Truckstop at 193 and I-90
Cylinder #2 is full of water appears to be left bank head gasket
He has most of the tools he needs except torque wrench, however he can't physically remove the head by himself.
if I were him, I'd pull the glow plug on that cylinder, drive it home with no radiator cap. That way any compression bursts out of the hole along with any fluids that get in there, doesn't put pressure in te cooling sstem and no cap means the sstem won't pressurize from the heat and won't flod the cylinder. Just my .02 if he can't get someone to help. Also, autozone has toque wrenches for rent (free of charge once it's returned) there's bound to be one near him.
Was he driving the dually crew? I wouldn't take the cap off, I would just leave it on but cracked so it doesnt build up pressure. Thats what I did when I had a coolant leak once and I was fine for a 2 hour trip.
