a lot of wind the other day but not bad here in coldwater but further north they did not fare very well . cool this am but this afternoon sun out bright an i had to turn on a fan in the shop this afternoon at least its warming up

Hi yall, greetngs from west Texas. Past couple' of days, dodged La State troopers, Dallas hi speed drivers & massive wildfires that would have meant about 160 mile addition to an already over 1K one-way trip. Yesterday in the Big Bend National Park, our trusty Escape trucked up down mesas, around mountains, & the remnants of volcanos all the way down to where the Rio Grand flows through a canyon in a 1500 ft high shield wall. This place is really impressive.

We're staying in a completely solar/wind powered house where our nearest neighbor is on the side of a mountain about 2 miles away & the others are a mile or so down the valley from us.

Also somewhere around here, Carol Shelby has a 22,000 acre ranch.

 

Sounds like a great trip!

 

It is wonderful to travel and see these United States. We left Minott ND and never got on the Interstate until Tulsa OK. It is amazing what you will see. Have a great and safe trip. Harley

I'm lovin' this weather!!! Gonna get under the ole truck's hood this weekend see if I can get those return lines done and tow her to the transmission shop.
That is IF I have time after taking the BOSS to Build-A-Bear.....LOL!!!

 

hope this finds everyone safe after yesterdays storms. hope no one had damage to their places.
