Amp is in the compartment under the rear passenger seat. It's on a small little amp rack with the LC6i underneath it. I'm still experimenting with gains/filters so I haven't cleaned up the wires entirely just yet.

nice.
not a bad spot at all. Only thing that would concern me would be heat. But all depends on the setup in the end.

THe sub in the stock location? Im really thinking i want more low end. There are some song that i know should sound a bit better. But that little sub just cant push the required air.

Thanks for the shots.

I've been thinking about the heat and lack of circulation. I might run a small set of fans off of an upfitter but haven't gotten that far yet. Seems fine so far, the amp doesn't even seem to get hot when running it hard.

The sub is behind the rear seat on the drivers side. If you go here 2008superduty and scroll down about 2/3 of the way down to the section where it says "With rear power slider version", you'll see where it goes and what it looks like. FWIW - the box I have is not ported like the one in the picture but it is the same dimensions.

I find the Hill Start Assist feature annoying. I often find myself on an incline, nose down, when hooking up my 5'er. When I'm inching back toward the trailer and stop to get out and check alignment, the stupid thing engages. First time I about put the trailer in the next county.

Is there any way to disable this? Ford should have the feature connected to tow/haul switch.

I don't know if you can turn it off through any menus, but if you slightly engage the emergency brake, that'll disable it.

thats pretty slick man. Very nice choice.
As far as the fans go. That would not be a bad idea in the long run. Even if they run off a 12V switched. That way when the system is most likely to be on, so is the fan.

Now i just gotta find the cash and add it to the list. lol..
thanks for sharing man.

I was thinking about splitting off of the amp turn on lead with a relay to a small set of cpu fans but I really don't want to cut into the plastic anymore than I have already to mount them, plus I'm not sure if that would induce any extra noise through the speakers. There's a separator between the 2 compartments under the seats that looks like it pops right out so I might pull that out to give it some more air flow.

that is a good point too with the cutting and possible noise induction.
Not a bad idea to let it ride and see where it goes.
It may not end up being a problem at all.

and if you need to and dont need fans, you may be able to find some kinda vent to put on the upper portion of the tub. Let all the hot air out. only thing you would have to make sure with that is there is a place lower down for cool air to get in..

**** or just run a small tube from your A/C to the compartment. lol. That would be just spoiling it. haha.

Don't know if this has been posted yet. Pulling my 36 ft 8800 TT with the cruise set at 63mph the truck would downshift from 5th to 4th when the speeds dropped to 58mph. When the the truck got back up to speed (63mph) it would still stay in 4th. A gentle press for a full second on the gas pedal would result in a gentle shift to 5th. In past vehicles I might have to turn off the cruise, accelerate above the 63mph, then as I coasted to 63 mph re-set the cruise. I also love the cancel/resume feature of the cruise.
