Well I just spent a frustrating morning replacing these glow plugs.
Three of them are stuck in the head -- the rearmost three on the driver's side. I screwed those three back down tight and left them disconnected from the harness.
I got the other five replaced with the AC Delco's.
Engine started right up after four seconds of glowing. Hopefully it does that well even on a cold morning.

Nope, to split up a post like that you basically wrap the

tags around each section you want to quote, minus the spaces in the tags of course...
When you go to the advanced page theres a button that you can click after highlighting the section you want to quote...

What year is the truck? 83-86 early style controller or 87-94 newer style controller?
The newer style controller won't fire unless all plugs are good...
Oh wait, manual control anyways...disregard the last sentence.
You DO want to get those plugs out...PB Blaster is your best friend. Spray it in there and slowly work the plugs out. Careful not to break a tip off
