Maintenance Schedule

Should I change my oil at 2500 miles or wait till 7500 like the manual says? I dont tow anything, or drive hard. I dont want to void the warranty.

Go by what feels right for you, I change mine about every 5,000 miles or so unless I do some heavy towing. The warranty says 7500 but more often willn't hurt just keep records and receipts of oil and filter.

That is a good question.
This is my plan.

I will drive my new truck and break the engine in for the first 1,000 miles.
I will drive stop and go as well as highway and at different speeds.

When my truck reached 2,500 I plan on doing a oil and filter change.
I plan on using Ford blend oil 5W20 as perscribed in the owners manual.
From then on I plan on changing oil every 5,000 miles.

Now I will be using the truck for pulling my 5th wheel and might reduce the mileage and time depending upon my time pulling my trailer. I usually like to change oil just before a long trailer pull of 1,500 miles or more.

Thant's my plan

Can't hurt to change it early the first time. I did my first change at 3k and will be doing the rest between 5 & 7k depending on how much towing I've done.

Motorcraft filter & 5w20 here.

I'm goin' right to 5k on mine with no changes in between. They say it's fine, so that's what I'm goin' with. I did get the extended warranty though, you never know...lol.

I've always been a little OCD with my vehicle upkeep and so far it has not hurt! I did my first change at 547 miles and will plan another for around 1,000. I currently have 660 miles and finding excuses to drive around so I hit the 1,000 mark asap. I want to go pick up the camper and see how she tows! We have a camping trip scheduled in 3 weeks and we are all really looking forward to it. Plan on having fresh oil in her for the maiden voyage!
