Can Anyone ID This Part?
The guy who sold me my 52 gave me a pile of extra parts. This piece is obviously not for an F1.
Anyone have any ideas? My best guess is an early 40's late 30's hood latch panel.

I am going to guess here but it looks to be the panel that goes under the grill on a mid-late '30's Ford. The two slots at the bottom on the sides, if you turn it 90° to the left, look like bumper bracket slots and the looks to be a hole for a crank.

I suggest that you post it on the pre-47 board, if it does belong to an earlier Ford truck they should know and you might be able to sell it.

How about a Volkswagon Bug rear bottom piece between the rear fenders.

Almost correct, front panel, part# 400-52-00
Not exact, this one has an extra hole or two but this is the part.

That's it Bob!!
Too funny, I happened to just think of that before I turned the computer on tonight. I thought the rear would have notches for the exhaust pipes.

BBK, I couldn't have done it without you. I honestly thought it looked like VW when I first saw it but since it came with other Ford parts I just went with a Ford part.

I give you the topsider but I'm thinking size 9. Remember the bugs are small gotta get your reference point right.
