Time to resurrect this thread from the dead. 87-91 are 3rd favorite of the Fords (superduty first then obs).

My 88 F150 4x4 302 C6 with a few small mods and next to it our 89 F250 4x4 351 ZF-5 flatbed few mods, and barely you can see my brothers 89 F350 crew cab going into a 4x4 conversion once our garage is built. All still being modified:

Hey sweet truck man! Did you have to do anything special for the 3 inch body lift? Steering extension etc? I have an 87 f250 and am thinking about a 3 inch body lift.

I am picking up my new to me 88 f150 extended cab long bed tomorrow, so I will post some pictures then. Does anybody know when the split window changed? I thought that it changed with the new front end in 92, but I came across some trucks while looking through many pages of the pre-97 picture thread that had the "plain" back window, but were 87-91 trucks. Maybe a cab swap? Anybody know for sure?

their is a mod you can do to get rid of them I think you need the 92-96 window and that's it. Then you don't need the cross hatch part.

I don't mind it at all, kind of like it actually. Just wasn't sure when the change happened.

That's what I was thinking, but I had seen a few pictures of 87-91's with the updated window. Interesting.

Was 92 for sure it is just a lot of guys with 80-91s like to put the 92 windows in. Personally I am one of them but my brother won't let me touch his 91 F250.

4 of our 5 bricknose trucks.

First Brother's 91 F250 4x4 460 (466 now as it has been bored .030 over just waiting for money to get the pistons and such) XLT Lariat extended cab E4OD 3.55 open diff. Mods include 2" lift, Warn winch bumper with brush guard, steering stabilizer, and hitch. The grille is now on the truck and their is a new hood. We are waiting to install the headache rack.

Next is dad's 90 F150 4x4 302 E4OD XLT Lariat regular cab 3.55 LS. Mods include custom stereo (OUKU 7" touchscreen deck and custom rear speakers) and painted wheels. Haven't really done to much yet on this truck.

Then my 88 F150 4x4 302 (now 308 as it has been bored .040 over again waiting on money to get pistons and such) C6 Custom regular cab 3.55LS. Mods include: B&M shift kit, rebuilt transmission, bed rails (Fomoco with tie downs built in), bed caps diamond plate, fender flares, floor console, slidding rear window (actually all 4 of these trucks have slidding rear but mine is aftermarket), 80-86 window handles, tach cluster (all 4 of these trucks have tach clusters but I swapped mine in), painted gauge needles, bug deflector, and custom black painted mirrors. I am still waiting to install my new rear bumper, brushgaurd, and leveling spacers.

Last of the ones I have pictures of is our 89 F250 4x4 351W work truck. She has a ZF5 and 4.10LS gears. Mods include: flatbed, drop style rear bumper, brush guard, custom 80-86 extended cab bucket seats and console, white spoke wheels (16x8), bug deflector, and probably more I am missing.

Really like the look of that truck. Looks pretty clean in the pictures. I'm hoping to have my truck's stance to be about that of a stock 250/350. Nice and tall without being a pain.

Are they expensive? Hard to install?

Also, is there a marked improvement in the oil when it comes out for a oil change?
