Was wondering the fuel tank capacity in my 02 F250 V10 2wd long bed. Manual says 38 gallons. When I put in gas last night I was close to empty but the reserve light wasn't on yet, I put $80 in and it gave me 20 gallons ($3.91 gallon) and it went slightly above the 3/4 mark on the gauge. It seems as though if I added another $20 it would have been full, equaling a 29 gallon tank instead of a 38....

Any help?

 

the tank is a 38 gallon tank and my reserve light comes on when i need almost exactly 30 gallons of gas which leaves 8 in the tank for a reserve. ive had the tank out of the truck where i completely drained the entire tank and when you fill it back up its right at 38 gallons to completely full

 

How many miles can you get out of your tank? City or highway.

 

with my tires and my driving style i tend to get between 11-12mpg but i do have the 5.4 so i go around 350 miles between fill ups which puts me at about the time the light comes on....but the trucks have the same tanks just diff engines

I get 550-600 per tank. But mine is a 7.3 PSD.
