2001 Escape Vaccum Diagram
#2
The diagram is supposed to be on the radiator support or on the underside of the hood. I found it to be on the underside of the hood of a 2007, to the left of center.
You will not find a MAP sensor on a 2001, I don't think. I believe all systems were switched to MAF sensors prior to that. The MAF would be in-line from the air cleaner to the throttle body.[where the throttle plate is located] All the air going to the engine for combustion passes through it.

Is the check engine light on? If so, go to your local parts store and have them pull the code(s). What symptoms are you having? Usually a vacuum leak will cause an overly high idle and overly lean fuel mixture (which would throw a code and set the check engine light).
These engines don't have a lot of vacuum lines, so a leak usually occurs where the intake plenum bolts to the lower intake... or where the lower intake bolts to the head. If either have ever been removed, a new gasket is required (according to Fords 3.0L Durotec Engine Repair manual). The old gaskets are not meant to be reusable. I've reused them without issue, however. As well, if they were not tightened and torqued in the required sequence, the plastic intakes warp easily.
Just some ideas - I'm interested to hear what symptoms you're having.
