Ten Movies to Last a Lifetime?

If you had only 10 movies to watch for the rest of your life, what would they be?

Mine are as follow, no particular order:

1. Halloween (John Carpenter version)
2. Evil Dead
3. North by Northwest
4. Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House
5. Death Proof
6. The Devils Rejects
7. The Shawshank Redemption
8. The Fast and The Furious (I never get tired of Nnnnooooozzzzz!)
9. Lord of War
10. Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (Hey Randy! What? The Devil is what? The Devil is everywhere!)

Your turn...

In no particular order....

1. Apocalypse Now (Director's Cut)
2. Airplane
3. Shawshank Redemption
4. Oh Brother, Where Art Thou
5. Platoon
6. Full Metal Jacket
7. We Were Soldiers
8. South Park (Bigger, Longer and Uncut)
9. Pulp Fiction
10. Das Boot (in German with the English subtitles)

On edit: Probably replace Das Boot with Blazing Saddles....have to think about that one some. And my 8 year old son just suggested Jackass. Don't know where he got his taste in movies. :-)

Good point but its one of the few movies that made me feel as if I grew up in a normal environment...comparatively.

1. The Godfather Trilogy (Bought as a set, so, in my mind it is ONE movie!)
2. The Outlaw Josie Wales
3. True Grit (The original, not some half-baked remake with Lloyd Bridges' son.)
4. Platoon
5. In Harm's Way
6. Shooter
7. Heat
8. The Good, The Bad & The Ugly
9. McLintock!
10. Last of The Dogmen

GREAT thread!!! Tough, tough decisions. There's really no way that I could make 10 movies last a lifetime.

Alternates:
Band of Brothers Boxed Set (I know. It was a mini-series. It's still on the list!)
Porky's
The Park is Mine
The Patriot
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
Fool's Gold
