The Boost gauge code is not correct.

Try this xgauge trick. I've used it, and it never goes negative now.

[QOUTE]Yea, MAP is a standard gauge - but this XGauge is actually better than the standard one. It has a larger range which was needed because the standard gauge tops out around 37 psi absolute (about 22 lbs of boost), which diesels have no problem doing. This one should read well beyond 22lbs of boost.

Manifold Absolute Pressure
TXD: 07E0221440
RXF: 046285140640
RXD: 3010
MTH: 012203200000
NAM: PSI

With a little tweaking you can adjust this to read boost as you said.

To do this, just plug in the MAP code - get a reading from it with the key in the on position but the engine off, then based on the reading changed the last 4 digits of the MTH to whatever corresponds to your reading on this table

14.0 -- FF74
14.1 -- FF73
14.2 -- FF72
14.3 -- FF71
14.4 -- FF70
14.5 -- FF6F
14.6 -- FF6E
14.7 -- FF6D
14.8 -- FF6C
14.9 -- FF6B
15.0 -- FF6A

So, for example if you got a reading of 14.5 PSI with key on engine off you'd change the MTH to 01220320FF6F and the reading should read 0.0 with key on engine off and would then show how many lbs of boost you were at when the vehicle is running.[/QUOTE]

I changed the name to boost when I did this.

Is this not the same as voltage that already shows up as part of the standard gauge package or are you just adding additional parameters for Xgauges?

Also, I'm starting to notice several duplicate Xgauge parameters for the same sensor some of which are already listed on the Xgauge list on the website. I have two and sometimes three Xgauges reading the same PID with different MTH configurations. Are these possibly expanded range gauges???? Ex. I have two for Mass fuel, two for voltage (BAT and VOLT), three for sync.

Is it the same physical unit with new software or did they change the box too?

I figured they were fixing to come out with a new version when they dumped all those at Christmas really cheap.

Actually I'm not in Little Rock, I'm up in Fort Smith or we definitely would get together for lunch for sure. I need to change my location but haven't gotten a round tuit. If for some reason I happen to be down there (crappie fishing) I'll give you a holler. I know some excellent down home cooking places you'd love close to the interstate.

I haven't found out the ON/OFF yet,(or how to toggle them) but if it is like a buzz test, I'll save those for diagnosing injectors.

As for the DTC count, I had asked cheezit for "his " list of desired "PIDs" on a gauge. I hadn't shared with Him that a DTC was already in the system, thus we got a "dtccnt". Which is fine. Just probably the same as the system currently. And probably not needed.

I'm going to be deleting ALL my Xgauges tonight. Then I need to run through all the "stock" supplied gauges and see which ones do not work. There are some. Then going to go through the list and seeing if I need to get new codes for those if they haven't already been posted.(they will have to become Xgauges) Then I'm going to be entering the Xgauges alphabetically. (I've been just throwing them in there for testing, what a mess!)

Instead of deleting them make a list of which Xgauge is which and just renumber the Xgauges. It will save you a WHOLE lot of typing by simply repositioning them.

this sound like a huge waste of time. the xgauges are listed 1-25. just go to the xgauge list read down all off the xgauage names. now go to the gauge menu and from from that hand writen list you can now find the xgauge that aren't working and delete only those gauges. put them in order isn't going to change where they appear in the gauge menu.

IIRC the Xgauges appear from 25 down to 1 in that order AFTER the preprogrammed gauges. If you want to put the Xgauges in alphabetical order so that it's easier to find them then "A" would go in Xgauge 25 and "Z" would go in 1. By simply changing the Xgauge numbers using the edit function you can arrange them however you want without losing all your typed in information. HOWEVER...you're going to have to leave yourself one or two spaces to work with until you get down to the last open Xgauge spot or you're going to end up deleting something.

Here are the Xgauges I now have entered in my Scangauge II. Going for a drive later to video the gauges in action. ( yes it does read from #24 to #0 )
