Famous Johnny N. Published Again
As I peruse my new issue of Classic trucks I notice our forum buddy John has once again been published with his hanging Mopar pedals tech article. Alabama must be proud to finally produce it's first real bigtime author.
Hope you won't be too busy to mingle with the masses at the 'nats.
Congrats
'fenders
All seriousness, you're doing us proud here John. I think it's really cool.

He writes tech articles!!!
He rebuilds trucks!!!
He rebuilds front suspensions!!!
He rips out front suspensions!!!

He has a cool avatar of his vision of 'fenders!!!
Wait ... that's three front suspensions. Subtract those last two suspension comments - for now.
Installing a Volare IFS in an effie - $5,000
Ripping a Volare IFS out of an effie - $500
Installing a Mustang II IFS in an effie - $5,000
Getting your tech articles published without the publisher finding out about your need for multiple installations to get it right - Priceless
Hat's off John - congratulations!

Congratulations, John. Reading your first tech article got me involved with this site. I was very impressed with your knowledge and your facile way with words. A little bit of that "cool" in the varied parries and thrusts on this forum entertain and inform has a trickle down effect on the rest of us... we are very proud of you. himmelberg

Fergie:
Do I detect a smidgen of insecurity in your manhood?
'fenders:
Youse guys ain't got no dikchunairees ovah theah in Iowa?
Main Entry: fac·ile
Function: adjective
Etymology: Middle French, from Latin facilis, from facere to do -- more at DO
Date: 15th century
1 a (1) : easily accomplished or attained <a facile victory> (2) : SPECIOUS, SUPERFICIAL <I am not concerned ... with offering any facile solution for so complex a problem -- T. S. Eliot> b : used or comprehended with ease c : readily manifested and often lacking sincerity or depth <facile tears>
2 archaic : mild or pleasing in manner or disposition
3 a : READY, FLUENT <facile prose> b : POISED, ASSURED synonym see EASY
- fac·ile·ly /-s&(l)-lE/ adverb
- fac·ile·ness /-s&l-n&s/ noun
There now, that's perfectly clear. Besides, and I quote "As I peruse my new issue ...". Peruse? Sounds just as hoity-toity as facile to me.
I can't even comprehend a post on a damn old truck message board.
I resemble that remark. I think "a damn old truck message board" is the perfect place to polish one's prose and become facile in the art of wordsmithing.
Big Hands:
... Southerners ken rite good to
Riiiiiggggghhhhtttt. See my post on the technical term for Aluminum in southwest Ohio. I bet they spell it even worse. And yes, coming from Wisconsin, I consider southwest Ohio as southern - y'all talk real funny 'round here compared to back home up nort, ya sure eh doncha know.

I enjoy Himmel's posts very much thank you. They can often only be read when wearing a clean T-shirt though. He has to be harassed for this.
Aluminum referred to as Light weight iron????? That's very funny. Good luck on your attempt to classify SW Ohio as Southern though. I think we're going to be credited with that one.
Big Hands
I just spent a couple weeks with a Mississippian. Each day we had to argue with a Yankee waitress at lunchtime. He would ask if yall got sweet tea. (which is of course made with tea, water, sugar and ice). She would bring him iced tea (tea, water, ice) and the sugar bowl. He would insist that he had been grossly mistreated at this point.
Spare us the Rebel explanation. I now realize it is hard to properly dissolve 12 tablespoons of sugar into one glass of tea after it's cold. It's also hard to smoke an entire pack of cigarettes at once. Some things are just for your own good.

I am truly humbled by your praise and dirty up to my knees with your B.S.
Now I need your assistance... would someone explain George's explaination of the funny work that Himmel used ???
reminds me of Bevis and Butthead
"he said facile !! he-he-he"
oh and BTW Fenders... your recipe for "southern" iced tea is a little off... ingredients should be listed showing greatest percentage first...
i.e. "southern" iced tea... SUGAR, water, ice, tea
it's just don't taste rite if you don't do it correctly...
