Airbag light 27 - But, does not match other results
My air bag light flashes 27 3 or 4 times when I turn on the truck, and then stays on. In all the research I have done this is the light on the passenger side airbag switch, yet when I turn on the truck that light comes on, and then goes out.
Should it be staying on? if it is working normally, then what else could be causing my light to blink this code?
Thanks.

Thanks, but I had already found that thread (saved the pdf). The problem is that if I am reading correctly, that is to replace the bulb that indicates if the passenger airbag is on or off.
If so, on my truck that light is working, and so I don't know if that is the cause of the problem. Unless there is something else wrong with that switch? either way, I don't think replacing the bulb will fix it for me.

Still could be in the PAD unit.
If memory serves me right, the key switch rotates a magnet near a glass enclosed magnetic switch to turn the air bag off. Switch could be stuck.
Try disabling it with the key and see if the light stays on when started.
I also read somewhere it could be a fault in the wiring to the light/switch and it is not sensing the current flow in the bulb/switch circuit.
Try an exhaustive google search and you should find more information on the code and possibly a pin point test procedure.
