a few months ago i bought a 2002 f150 4x4 4.2l auto. has 175000 kms. i was wondering if it would be able to tow my 24' travel trailer.i am guessing the trailer weights around 4000 to 4500 lbs(not sure). i dont usually tow farther than 75 kms round trip to where i go camping. would the truck be able to tow this?, should i put a trans cooler? also,sometimes i bring my atv in the back of the truck,which that weights around 700 lbs. thanks

 

The V6 will tow it, but it will unlock the TC alot, and you will not have any reserve power.............I towed with a 97 with the V6, and I towed long distance too, but I took it easy and it did the job....(I towed cars all the time)
