picking up my new f250 super duty 6.7 today,

i did it, bought one yesterday, went from a 2006 5.4 gas hog to a 6.7 diesel, hope im not making a mistake on fuel mpg, alot of post say they get 16 to 17 in town, if thats the case, i will be really excited, but as for the test drives, it only showed 12 to 13 mpg average, and maybe its because of what i read about winter fuel too, but hope it gets better then that, but it has enough power to excite me though, cant wait to pick it up today and try it up the mountian that i live on, I also bought a brand new boss v plow too, my old plow was about 10 years old, so i figured since my old plow dont fit the new trucks, i better get a new one, now, just to pay for everything...lol

what a difference in power

got to say, i just picked up my new truck today, coming home up a long mountian that usually everyone passes me, lol, not anymore baby, follow me for a change...love it, fuel says 13 miles to a gallon, hope that goes up alittle , going to be awhile because its hard to stay out of the gas, havent really stepped on it yet, it only has 30 miles on it, so maybe i should baby it for a while, all i can say about it though, is 8000lb truck, feels like a car now, and did i mention, that i love it already? boss snow plow next week !!

Congrats on the new truck. I waited a long time for the 6.7 and now I'm waiting for the 2012's, just saving for the down payment. Before you bought, did you compare the drive quality between a 250 and 350? Just wondering if there is any difference? Did you get the FX4 option? Please keep us posted on fuel milage. Jim

i did not drive the f350, but i drove the 6.2 and the 6.7, there really aint no comparison, I do have the fx4 off road package, it drives like a dream, still cant believe how much power it has, comes up the mountian like theres no hill, very little effort, very little pedal, i was worried whether or not i would like this truck, but i can tell you right now, im loving it, and tonight i was getting 14 to 15 mpg, but hand calc will tell the story this week when i fill up, and if i get two more in the summer fuel, i will dance on the streets...lol , good luck with your 2012, you wont be sorry im sure

what you pay for it man.

I'm in the process of buying a truck but I don't want a diesel.

All I really want is a XLT cc with a FX4 package and remote start, does anybody really know how much they go for?

i bought one that window stickered for 52210.00, i ended up paying 42600.00 with rebates, I got a xlt with the fx4 and the premium package with the snow plow prep, loc diff, 355 gears, the premium package adds about 2000 dollars, so if you get a xlt with out that package it will be 1000 dollars cheaper, it also defends on what wheel package you go with, i got the 18 tires and wheels with the better tires and rims, you can go to your dealer or start online getting prices, i shopped online for about a month, and it really gave me a great starting point, good luck, and you will love the truck, trust me, i do !!!

Congrats on the new truck. Anything else you plan on doing to it after the plow?
