Hello all! New member
Hello all - I have been lurking on the excursion site for the past few months since I started my quest for an excursion. I am originally from Klamath Falls and went to college in Corvallis. Spent a couple of years in the midwest and then returned back to Oregon. I seem to have always been around Ford's with my 1st one being a '69 Bronco! My wife and I now live in Banks with our 5 kids. I finally found a 2001 Excursion Limited on craigslist. The photo below is the maiden voyage to the lower Columbia river for crabbing. Got 48 crabs in just over an hour. So any fellow fishers out there in the Banks / Hillsboro area let me know!!
The Excursion has 125,xxx miles 7.3 diesel and pretty much stock. Did the 1st mods this past week. Replaced the shocks with Bilsteins, added an overhead DVD and replaced stock radio with pioneer with bluetooth. Had the ball joints replaced soon after I got her home.
Thanks for allowing me to join the Oregon chapter! It is a great site and look forward to reading and hopefully contributing a little BullS*** as well!

Anything that I can get into the boat! Looking forward to Springer fishing next month. Then halibut, salmon, tuna ....... Mainly spend my time on the lower columbia and in the ocean out of Ilwaco.

Welcome! Great to have another fisherman!........I fish the high lakes, spring and summer, then with any luck I fish the coastal rivers for salmon in the fall.
I have not been on the Columbia since I down sized to a 15ft boat, got tired of only being able to pull the big hog with a F-250. Now with the smaller boat I can tow with the Ranger and save gas$$
15ft is a little to small to mix it up on the Columbia.
