I took an old sealed sub box and mounted in the door. The first time I did it was just cut a hole in the panel and put in the sub. But someone stole the whole door panel with the sub so I had to start from scratch. Sounds a lot tighter with the sealed box.
I have a fiberglass box made worth no face was going to mount the plywood the door then noticed the slight curve. I think if I use the screws to pull it in it would just strip out. Also I noticed the carpet you used how close is the match and what color is it? Beige or tan
I cut some curved pieces of wood to fit the radius of the doors to take up the slack, and yeah they stole the whole panel. I took the other panel in to a fabric place so the could match the color. Here's a pic of the other side as i'm too cheap to buy two subs haha.

I might put a tow rope or small fire extinguisher in there.
On a side note, for sealed enclosures, a friend of mine in the buisness told me to never use silicone based products to seal your box, the silicone fumes will degrade the foam rubber cone of the sub over time. He recommended Phenoseal to do the job.
I know this is an old thread, but how are you guys getting your wiring into the barn doors? Are you still able to unlatch the doors and swing them wide open as well?

If you look at the pic in my thread that has the wire hanging out of the box you will see black wire loom by the bottom hinge. It goes to the corner of the bumper trim then under the truck to the panel that allows the a/c lines into the back. I have enough slack I could open them past the door catches.
