Front sway bar and lift? Pictures. Help!

Hey guys, I just finished installing a 4" lift on my 1996 F-250 and when I went to reinstall the front sway bar it now hits the springs. I dont understand what is going on? The sway bar I have attaches to the front of the truck right behind the bumper and from what I can tell.....there is no way it is going to go back on. Let me know if any of you have had this problem or if there are any ideas to make it work. I was wondering if Ford offered 2 different sway bars because mine looks different than the one in the pictures in the instructions for the end links. Thanks, Mike

You need longer sway bar end links like Hitorki said. I believe I have seen some of the lift kits come with sway bar drop brackets. That might be another option.

I already have longer sway bar links. I got them with the kit. Thats not the problem. The new spring is right where the sway bar use to run because it has so much more arch and more springs in the pack......so when I hold it up you can see it is going to be either waaaaaay to high or waaaaay to low. It cant sit where it needs to sit.

what lift did you go with? You can run without it with no issues, just slow down when you take a corner

The kit i bought came with some blocks that would drop the mounts about 1 1/2". I don't know if they worked, I don't have a sway bar. But it might be what you were lookin for.

I got the Rough Country 4" kit. I dont know if the drop down blocks will work or not. I will look into it. Does this sway bar set up look like the rest of you guys that have a front sway bar? Its not an aftermarket sway bar is it? I may end up not using it but wanted to if I could. Would it be a bad idea to not use the front but keep the back sway bar? Just have the back sway bar hooked up? Thanks, Mike

I don't have one front or back, but I like to offroad in it. But with the lift springs, the front is stiff enough that you won't notice it.

So my question is...is it better to remove both front and back or remove the front and leave the back installed? Will this cause problems?

Was there ever any solutions to this? I just installed the same kit and couldn't figure out where or how my extended front sway bar links hooked up.

The general consensus seemed to be that you don't need a front sway bar. These new springs are much stiffer and most of the body roll in a turn is in the rear. (the front is initiating it, the rear falls victim to it) As long as you run one in the rear, which I don't, you really shouldn't notice any difference. I have no sway bars and it handles just fine. Like 96f350az said, they're lifted trucks, not road rally cars.
