I'm wondering what mods you've done that you wish you hadn't done? And why? ben73058 had a great thing to add, What mods would you suggest to others?

I installed a No Limit Wide Ride front suspension - It was too much money for what you got - I wish I had been more patient & done the Jaguar IFS from a donor vehicle.

On the other hand - Relocating that gas tank from the cab to out back under the bed was easily the best mod. done to date. Our tank leaked forever & just made the driving experience horrible. I love having no gas smell in the cab & more room for everything behind the seat.

Moe,
That's almost right - it was a mustang tank but from 1970 - 22 gallons.
I went for the added range - it fit easily between the rails out back.

Right now I am not at the stage of wishing I had not done some something as I am still un-doing things from the PO. But I have given this a lot of thought and it is easy to get carried away. I hope the decision to use an elelctronic turn signal was the right one. A few more wires but if it works right [almost there] then it will be worth it.

I am constantly fighting the urge to upgrade that or make this better when i really just need to make it right, right now and improve it later. Simple is definately better.

Wish I had not used the Vintage Glass one-piece side glass in my 48. It looks great but never could get the fuzzies right...the truck's gone now so it's someone else's problem...

one piece weld in window kit from mid fifties, worst instructions ever, ended up going on their site and getting instructions for the curved glass, between the two then i can make sense of it, top weld in rails were not long enough, had to add some material to nicely blend them into the window opening.
