2008 heated seats not working

Any body got an idea where to start looking for the reason my drivers heated seat stopped working? The passenger side works just fine. The red light comes on but no heat. Help ,my *** is cold!

Check

Check the fuse
Check the connection under the seat to see if it is getting power when your turn on the seat.

If you are getting switch power to plug under the seat the seat heat coils are bad.

You truck should be under warrenty I would just have Ford fix it.

No warranty at 105,000 miles. Ford wouldn't fix my steering wheel, paint came off, at 38,000

No Warrenty

Sorry to here your out of warrenty.. I do enjoy the heat on cold days.
The paint on your string wheel????

My is a 09 with less then 12 k on it. What engine do you have? I had a hell of time with ford on my 6.0 diesel.

If it is the heating coil you should be able to replace it yourself. Check to see if are getting power when you push the button.

I have the 5.4, never been in the shop. Had a 6.0 and hardly ever been in the driveway. Should have been yellow.

engines

Same with my 6.0. Wife really hates breaking down in the middle of nowhere... The 6.8 has been good so far. Good luck

search for thread in excursion forum. there is an excellent one on heated seat fixes. I dont know if post 07 is wired the same but there are wiring diagrams in that thread. Just fixed my 01's was a broken wire in back rest pad.... resoldered put seat skin back on and voila! my butt is smoldering again...

if there is a broken wire in either the backrest or the seat part it will cause the seat in question driver or passenger to stop working. not both seats.... but could be broken wires in both as was in my 04.... and ford wouldnt fix them under warranty then... even with 38000 miles on the truck
