See post #17 https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...screwed-2.html. I think that information is for front SD springs. Are you saying you are going to use back SD springs in the front of your truck?
Sorry I thought I Posted that when u asked.

Update 2/5/2011
So today after doing a few things around home, remounting my behind the cab tool box and cleaning out the cab, I headed to the shop. When I got there I could tell my dad was there this morning but not sure what he did till I opened the side garage door. This is how I found my Dana 60. Looks like he got bored this morning while his wife was out with my older sister.
Old frame on the 18ft car trailer for scrap. If anyone needs shock mounts let me know.
So I got to work where he left off. I pulled the springs off, Shocks and Lower shock plates. Also pulled the steering box off the frame. Has no play so I'm going to hold on or maybe sell it, Not sure yet. Also pulled the ASB brake thing off the frame, rusty but looks good.
I then Pulled the gear cover to inspect the gears and oil. Was glad not to see chocalate smelly oil. Well there was very little oil and it all in my truck. Drain out the vent hose. Got loaded into my truck up side down. Was woundering where the 90wt came from! Didn't dawn on me till today!
I was able to read the tag on the rear after a little wire brushing and some sand paper and it Said 4 10! I was so happy! After that I moved into the garage to strip it down farther. Off came the tires, calibers, Checked the wheel bearing.
That where I left off for the day figuring Friday another good night to go work on it. I Start night school tomorrow to get certified to weld.
My part list as now
New rotors
Sway bar
Brake hoses
Calibers?
pads
oil seals
90wt gear oil
U joints
Ball Joints are good, Tie rod ends feel good and wheel bearing have no play!
So Now my Questions begin.
Will the yoke off my Dana 50 work on the dana 60. The stupid guy was torch happy. He cut the stap bolts in the dana 60 yoke.
Has anyone ever make a Daul rear wheel (drw) Dana 60 in to Single rear wheel (srw) one? Can I use the Hub and just put a SRW rotor on it with out the spacer? Or do I need a new hub. Also will my hub off the dana 50 fit? I think it takes the same wheel bearings.
That all for now guys! I also smell like 90wt now!

Try www.buybrakes.com and order the Brembo Blanks. Great quality rotors at a reasonable price.

Are your rotors on the d50 shot? Also you will want to switch out the brake calipers mounting bracket because that KP60 axle uses those ruber wedges and the calipers on your truck uses bolts to hold the calipers, alot safer and when you need to get parts it will make it easier to remember what you have.
You can use the hubs from your d50 on the d60 without a problem and you will have to unless you want to run dually rims on the front axle.
Doing this will also save you money if the stuff is good on your current axle under your truck. Wont need calipers, brake lines, rotors, or brake pads.

This covers parts numbers if you need. Both the D-50 and D-60 share the same seals, races and bearings!
