Anyone bought from f1filtration before?

I'm working on some better fuel filtration for my truck and found this.
Modelo X3 Fuel Filter Base

Has anyone bought from them before?
Good? Bad?

Thanks.
I'm brainstorming on a way to convert the factory fuel filter housing into a full on regulated return using the fuel pressure regulator in the factory bowl.
All it requires is that you reverse the flow of fuel.
Instead of going through the filter housing and then to the heads, just reverse the flow.
Pump the fuel through the heads and into the filter housing.
It would require removing the check valve from inside the tower and removing the flow restrictors from the steel lines.
I'm in the planning stages right now and as you can see, I need to get some sort of filtration between the fuel pump and the cylinder heads.
Hence my search for something.....

Interesting idea... I'll be watching to see what comes of it. Too bad I already have a regulated return fuel system... stock

That's a decent looking filter, but I still am looking for a flange to mount it up to.

Here's what I have found so far.
I was looking on Fleetfilter for some spin on fuel filters and a filter mount.
Found a filter mount easily enough.

Wix 24309 & Napa 4309 Base: FleetFilter Secure Online Store

It has 1-12 threads.
No problem get a filter that has 1-12 threads.
Only filter that I could find that is less than 20 microns is one for a two year only production GMC diesel.
Not a very common vehicle and I don't want to have to search for filters for a truck that was discontinued 20 years ago.
There's a lot of filters that have 1-14 threads.
What I did find that I would like to use is these two filters.
The application is for a Mack truck, one is primary, and one is secondary.
The primary is 35 microns and the secondary is 6 microns.
They plenty of volume to suit my needs, they would probably support 800HP (guessing).
Trouble is, I cannot find a filter mount for the threads on the filter and so the search began.
Here's the filters.

33219 PRIMARY FUEL FILTER

33218 SECONDARY FUEL FILTER

Having it be one piece billet would be nice, but if I have to daisy chain two flanges together, that would work too.
I would much rather have the one piece for reasons of strength.
Those filters are rather large, they are the same size as the engine oil filters for the 7.3 so they should last a good long time, but they will have some weight to them with when full of fuel and I don't want to have to worry about fatigued flanges.
.
The other thing that I am wondering about on the f1filtration system is they don't list the thread sizes that I can see, they don't sell filters, and they don't seem to have a phone number listed anywhere on thier website.
They haven't returned my email as of this writing so I'm wondering if they are flaky or not.

EDIT: Life would be easy if I could find a flange that had 1-14 threads!

Half way down, 3rd page, and all 4th page, are the fuel filters for that base...

Wix & Napa Filters & Accessories: FleetFilter Secure Online Store

I think they used to have a 1-14 thread base, but seems they since done away with it. Keep remembering, it was on backorder, had dual in/out fittings. I had just ordered the 1-12 base for my pre-pump kit, in early dec.

Dan,

I've never heard of them so I can't answer your question. However, this is what I added pre-pump back in 2004. I use the 30 micron filter. Good luck with your project!

I'm trying to steer clear of 1-12 because of the scarcity of the filters available.

Thanks for the link, but I cannot use that setup because my fuel pump is mounted on the end of the fuel pickup inside the tank.
The entire length of my fuel line from the tank to the engine is pressurized to 60 psi and I don't think that Racor could handle the pressure.
That limits me to spin on filters only.
Not a big deal.
.
Ok guys, thank you all for this.
You've all provided the much needed help that I was looking for and I need some time to gather the parts and consider mounting locations, etc.
I'll keep you all posted.

Little update.
John Storrie from f1filtration emailed me, stating that he would call me today sometime.
I'll let you all know how that goes.

The Racor filter I use is a spin-on, I'm pretty sure the clear viewing bottom section could handle 60 psi.....I'll check into this further today (we're iced and snowed in for then next couple days) if I don't lose power.
