New Bronco owner with odd noise

Wanted to say hi to everyone, I just traded my 78 F150 for a 95 Bronco. I love it except it has an sound/vibration issue. Whenever I'm turning to the left while driving it makes a loud grinding/rubbing sound. It does it in both 2wd and 4wd. I did crawl under the truck and look, but nothing seems out of the ordinary. Is this an issue anyone else has had, or does anyone know what might be causing it? Thanks

Hehehe... goin' on safari?

As for the grinding/rubbing noise while turning, check for a dragging brake caliper, bad u-joint at one of the steering knuckles, or a dying wheel or spindle bearing. Anything loose under the front end can cause issues like this really. If you can pin-point which side of the truck its coming from it will help too.

I'm pretty sure its coming from the left front, possibly the rear. I plan on rebuildung the front end with all new brakes and bearings. Hopefully, its nothing too bad, more of an annoyance right now.

The paint is ridiculous, people always comment on it tho. but the guy also gave me a extra top that has been cut out for open roof and sides but allow for seatbelts. Plus it has a leather cover that snaps on in the rain.

Dang - you don't want to rob a bank in that thing! My guess for your noise is front axle shaft joint. I read that you're doing the bearings and brakes - since you're going to have it that far apart, if it were me, I'd replace the axle shaft joints anyway, and I'd also do the ball joints. You're already there in labor, might as well spend a few more bucks while you're there and go all the way.

You could also check the radius arms, i know you say you hear it's coming from the rear, but the tyres usually rub in the r-arms.

Just an update. i found that the passenger tire was rubbing on the bumper at certain spots, So i trimmed the bumper edges a bit. That seemed to take care of it. Thanks to everyone, but I feel like a idiot for not noticing this right off the bat.

A bent bumper?

I think I have the same size tires on my '94, and they don't rub anywhere.

Yeah when I got the truck the bumper was bent. Just enough the when you turned a certain amount the tire would catch the corner.
