Every time I crawl under my pickup to adjust the rear brakes, I can't remember which way to move the brake adjusting tool to tighten or loosen, so I made this little image that shows what that star is doing inside the drum. Hopefully most ford drum brakes have the the adjusting arm on top of the star like my 84 does.
