Aux Radio Button

2005 F-250. I have an 'Aux' button on my radio but when I push it, it does nothing. I figured it was for playing audio from laptops, dvd players, ipods, etc. but I don't have an audio port. Anybody know what the 'Aux' button is for?

I would like to play a dvd player through the speakers and am hoping the 'Aux' button will help me out.

Thanks,

Mike

You need an adapter that connects to the back of the radio (need to remove the radio to install it):

PIE Adapter (Google it)

I have used an FM transmitter with an iPod but as you drive different stations take over the frequency that you are on. In places like LA you can't find "dead" frequencies!
I bought a PIE adaptor on eBay and it was easy to install, just plug it into the port on the rear of the radio. The one that I bought has an iPod plug and a 1/8 jack for other headphone type outputs.

Also keep in mind that most FM transmitters recommend that you use the middle of three consecutive unused frequencies. Even if you can find three consecutive unused frequencies the sound quality of a FM transmitter is very poor compared to a plug-in adapter.
