More horsees for my OBS

Iam looking to mod my 96 7.3. Iam trying to find out more about this "lope" thing.. Is it safe for the engine? What are the pros and cons of this awsome noise i hear from some of these trucks?...

I stopped selling the Lope tunes on my chips becasue unless you have really big injectors, it simply doesn't change the idle much.

You need a set of guages intake and exhaust before you can throw injectors in. Also remember that at higher power levels youre on thin ice with the trans lasting so save some money for that and getting a stock rebuild is a waste. For injectors click on the rosewood diesel link in DZLJims post (2nd in this thread) and you can get the exhaust intake and guages from him or clay at riffraff diesel. Both are sponsors of this site and great to work with

With a chip exhaust intake and guages your truck will feel completely different. You will wonder why you waited to mod it.
Stay away from banks edge bully dog or any off the shelf tuners. Get a custom chip. There are many choices with a chip. Here are a few of the better ones. Personally I like dp tuner but you can't go wrong with any of these guys.

Iam just getting sick of these chevy gassers that are dropped. Haha they keep reving there gassers at me. I wanna make my truck sound veeery intimidating. But iam gonna have to back it up instead of being all talk lol. What would be the easyest way to make big hp? I was thinking, mbrp exhaust, with cat delete, intake, imtercooler, turbo, some stage 2s and a tune. And of course a new clutch.. Would the exhaust help with the lope?? And of course the gauges.

i would start with the down pipe, and upgarde to 3in , then 4 in back losse the cat, lots are running around on here! than get a 6637 air filter, you just gave it air and got the exasht away from it, next i would do my gauges, than try and do a chip and injecters, than maybe a turdo upgrade, and than............ once you start kinda hard to stop, best is to find a hp range you wanna be at and do the mods to get there, not cheap prod 2500 or 3 grand in what i just listed not counting turbo, you at the right place just ask, lots of guys makein crazy power and drive there truck every day! good luck man

I startd looking at down pipes a while back. And the first web page i came across was ATS and i found a 3 inch down pipe for 200 clams. But then i found the 3 inch down pipe for the IDI 7.3 and it was 80 bucks.. ( 80 bucks?!?!) arnt they the same?? I mean of course i would go with the one cheaper... But i dunno maby they aint the same.
