Twin turbo intercooler 4.2 Heritage F150

What kind of high performance chip would I need for an 03-04 F150 4.2L heritage? Rebuilt this 5 speed 4x4s engine with all new gaskets, lifters, intake etc. everything new. Radiator that I will be using for the coolant and engine oil. New EAGLE connecting rods for the massive hp the 3.8L twin turbo intercoolers will produce in this 4.2L. High amp alternator, an electric rad fan and one for the turbo system. The manual tranny from this f150 was replaced with one that can handle what a 460 big block can push out. Will be lifting it 2” and putting 35s on 17” rims. Taking bed off and going with a wooden flat bed. So it should be a pretty interesting truck. Any ideas of the kind of chip to use??? Thanks. Rick

Welcome to FTE! Thread moved--you were on an old 4.2 diesel motor thread from Australia.

So I take it you are trying to use the stock EFI with twin turbos?

Maybe aftermarket EFI and controller would be a better way to go.

Someone here might know better. Good luck!

for starters you’re on the wrong track, you’ll need custom tuning and “fuel mods”. Start with determining who will be tuning the truck and see which software they are comfortable using

Sounds interesting.

What kind of transmission? There ain’t a quick shifting manual transmission that takes big block power and bolts to a 4.2 that we know of.

Also, chips? That ain’t how it works these days. You find someone to write you a tune after everything is mapped out, so to speak.
