Performance Chips

That's not bad. It will cost around 100-150 to get it burnt by a custom tuner depending on where you go.

ok, here's a good question... You know how you have to order your chip by PCM code for automatic transmissions? If I were to buy this second hand TS chip from another stroker, it doesn't matter what the chip was originally for right? Because when it is reburned by the tuner I would send it to, they would burn programs on for that PCM code right? Or is it something physically different with the chips?

I went with a DP Tuner F8.
Can hold up to 8 tunes with a rotary switch or 16 tunes with a laptop.
I got,
no start
stock
60 HP econo
80 HP mountain econo
100 HP performance
and have room for more tunes
One feature I like about it, 150 extra for a Destiny Tuner lets me download tunes and install them without pulling the chip.
As far as I know, those have to come from DP Tuner though.
They also have a feature that lets you download tunes and try them for 10 key cycles, try before you buy which I also like.
4.10 gears, E4OD, F350 crew cab 4x4
Around here, I average 13 MPG right now, that goes up about 2 MPG in the summer.
One trip through the mountains since it was installed, 16.5 MPG which would have been a lot better except there was this Duramax ....well I did burn a lot of extra fuel but he went to the back of the line.
Last summer I ran to KC almost non stop, 18 MPG with no chip.
I can't wait to try a long trip with the chip on summer fuel.
With the roads and hills we have here, I am always about 4 MPG below what everyone else sees with both my Stroke and IDI turbo.

I think most chips get re-burned TDE1 (auto trans) PCM code... least that's what tony did with mine. The NAW6 PCM shifts like CRAP compared to the TDE1. NAW6 TC lockup point is right before the OD shift . Of course, i believe you can have the shift points adjusted to your liking w/ chip tuning

So I sent an email to wildman like two weeks ago and got nothing back. Can't say I'm happy about it. I am still waiting to hear back from his shop before I buy this chip... can't even say that I know the Guy still has it. Anybody know a better way to contact TW other than through totaldieselperformance.com?
