YAHOO!!! Is right! I'm sure glad to hear ir run, now we want to see it going down the road with you at the wheel. The engine sounds great. It don't get better than that.

Wow, Grizz! Sure come a long way since I last saw it! Glad you're doing better.

With that nasty noise, I'm sure you'll want to dump it - I'll give you $300, if you'll deliver it here to Indiana, and you don't even need to finish it up...

HA!!

My brake hoses are mounted similarly but I have the bracket mounted on the vertical outside part of the frame and I have coil springs. I was wondering if you have had interference issues between your brake hoses and the tires and or suspension hard parts. I'm having interference issues, so I'm going to have to move my brackets, I was thinking, to a more central location maybe directly opposite of the caliper and use a shorter hose? Please let me know how yours came out interference-wise. Thanks!

Nice going Grizz!

I drove mine out of and back into the shop on Friday, cause my son wanted to spray some paint samples.

I ran my brake line forward of the wheel, no interference.

I have no issues with interference. I have turned the wheels lock to lock with the suspension inflated and collapsed. I chose that location because the flex-line travels under the frame when turned that direction.

As to truck progress, I have been cleaning up little wiring and lighting problems. Installed my oil pressure and water temp gauges and wired them in. Had to replace the taillights and front turn signals. The bulbs were corroded into the sockets too badly to salvage. Got new headlights too and wired them using relays that are energized by the light switch and so they are brighter and the level of electricity going through the switch is reduced. Used a headlight re-wire kit from MAD Electric. Temps in the 110+ region lately have me staying out of the garage for the most part during the heat of the day and working early in the morning or late at night. Each step brings me a little closer to driving again.

tires???

Hey Baca,

I have been following this thread for a while... the truck is looking great. To be honest, I have taken a lot of your ideas and am implementing them to my 55. I'm glad to hear your feeling better.

I just had one question, As I know you probably covered this, I have read through a few times and can't find it. On your wheels, the fronts are 18x8.5, What size tires do you have? In a few of your posts, you talk about clearance when locking it out side to side... Did you have to do anything prior to prevent this? I'm putting 20x8.5 all around on my truck, with a heidts Mustang II front end. 11" rotors, with normal width control arms. The tires i'm using are 245/40R20, so they are pretty low profile. I think the diameter of the tires is about 27.5, I just wanted to know what the diameter of your tires were so I can see if I went to big...

I'm a newbie, so I apologize if i'm not using the correct verbage.... haha

The front tires are 245/50-18 and the diameter works out to around 27.6 inches.

Further updates:
I got the bed wood figured out, stained, urethaned and installed. I have an issue with electrical now. It seems the old alternator I have is not up to the job of providing enough power to operate the air ride system. I have a few things I need to make sure of before I get a newer more powerful alternator.

Got the seat installed and actually took my truck for it's first ride the other day. I drove out of the garage into the cul-de-sac and turned it around then pulled back into the garage. Later I turned it back around again.
