Shocks... Bilstein 5100

Any comments (good or bad) about the Bilstein 5100's?

supposed to be a good shock, but the yellow color kind of stands out oddly. my 2 cents.

I have them on my 99 F250 that only has a leveling kit and love them. The silver color of the 5100s is subtle and much preferred (to me) over the yellow bodied Bilsteins; they just look .... BLEH .... to me. My front is leveled, but the rear is stock.

Oops, you're right. I like the silver, the yellow, not so much

I have a 2wd leveled with these in the front only. Even with them only in the front it made a big difference. It rides very nice.

I got the yellow 5100's and their not bad, lol.. They are pricey but you will tell the difference in ride. Shop around here, most of us got them from the shockwarehouse.com

I bought 5100's (the silver ones) back in 2005,those 4 shocks are still looking good and function well. A lot of Bilsteins shocks are now made at Thyssenkrupp Bilstein in Ohio.

thanks for the info.

I am suffering from a very rough ride and lots of clanking sounds from all 4 corners. I am sure I need all new bushings (everywhere) and shocks.
