Question on Alpine MRV-T505 quality

I have searched this site and the web in general for reviews on an Alpine MRV-T505 amp and have come up real short. I have a chance to pick one up at a decent price (I think) if it is a good amp and is in the condition stated by the seller.

I have been piecing the system together for my truck as I have been building it and I think I want to rn my MB-Quart door speakers with an amp instead of off of the headunit. The MRV-T505 is in my price range and I think would power my door speakers well.

Have any of you all had any personal experience with an Alpine MRV-T505?

Doesn't look like there's too much info on that amp. Being Alpine I'd say it's gonna be a decent amp. For the output it should be just fine for the front speakers.

From what I've read, I'd be willing to pay $100 tops if it's in working condition and not beat to hell cosmetically.

I have a good friend that has been into high quality stereo equipment since the early 90's and I'll check to see if he has any real good deals for me first. If not, then I may make an offer on the Alpine. In his add, he states that it has never been hooked up. Which, if that's true, then I would be willing to buy it. I have a real hard time buying used stereo equipment from people I do not know and trust.

Thanks for the input.

No problem.

Your friend would probably be the guy to ask about the Alpine.

Looks like I might be getting a McIntosh. Depending on if he still has it and how much he wants for it. Otherwise, I'll probably just go with the Alpine. It will still be quite a while before it gets installed, I just like to gather up parts over a longer period of time.

That's exactly how I do it too. Just got my 4 JL's for the speaker replacements, the PAC integrator for the factory head unit, and the amp kit.

The subs, box and amp will be this spring.

My friend still has the McIntosh and he is really taking care of me in the price department. Way too good of a deal to pass up. He said the Alpine amp would do well also, but he is a good friend and is in a bit of a bind for cash and that made my decission for me. I get to pick-up the McIntosh MC440 (I think) on Thursday.
It's all starting to come together.
