I have seen this truck in person. I was down there for the weekend about a month or two ago and realized I was about a mile away from it. I was bored and wanted to see it in person and try to figure out what the big price tag was about. PM or email me if you want the scoop.

Is there a gold bar under the seat?

I've never found a gold bar under the seat of any of these overpriced buckets but I've found a lot of other stuff under them

LOL!! No gold bars. Actually the seat (or whats left of it) is sitting in the bed on the frame rails. The truck is just WAY overpriced and VERY rusty. Big holes everywhere. I don't mean to offend, but it was a very surreal little encounter for me. I drove back into this little dark area and it was obvious to me the guy probably never sells anything. There were at least 20-30 rusty antique cars scattered up his driveway and around his shop that had been there for decades. I pulled up right beside the truck and got out and looked it over for a few minutes. It has that bronco rear end and leaf springs. The strangest part was the fact that the truck is years from ever running again even in the most capable hands, but it has a brand new disc brake conversion bolted on the front. The guy was in his shop doing some strange project but didn't offer to walk out there after I waved at him. I walked over to his shop and introduced myself and asked if he would be willing to sell the seat or some of the parts on it. He said no and very little else. By that time, the hair was raised on the back of my neck (and this is coming from a hillbilly who has seen some strange stuff in his time). I just thanked him and left. I honestly got the impression that somebody in his family was pushing him to sell it and he overpriced it so that it would eventually be added to his collection.

I've had a few of those encounters myself and I don't live anywhere near a mountain. I recapped many times my experience with a eBay seller in the back roads in MN. Short story, truck wasn't as advertised and shock guns.
